ZYKLON/EMPEROR Guitarist Welcomes Addition To Family

ZYKLON/EMPEROR guitarist Samoth (real name: Tomas Haugen) and his Canadian wife Erin welcomed their first child on April 23. Erin says, "Her name is Lily and she was 10 lbs (!!!),with tons of cute dark hair, and is officially the cutest baby on the planet (not that I'm biased or anything)."

Samoth and Erin were married on February 15, 2005 in a small ceremony in Norway.

Samoth released a statement last October announcing that ZYKLON was taking a break from all touring and recording activities. "What the future will bring I cannot say at this point," he wrote at the time. "All I know is that we're all active musicians and have no intentions whatsoever to stop our mission of METAL!!!"

The group's third album, "Disintegrate", was released in May 2006 via Candlelight Records. The CD was recorded at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio in Norway and was mixed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.
